Abstract paintings I bought some black card and oil paint ,I wanted to create something with contrasting bright colours . I painted these shapes in red , blue , yellow and white. I then went over them using a white pencil to create more light exposure around them. In the next step I want to edit them on either animate or photo shop and create a short time lapse of them in some form of motion. oil
Cinema I went to watch the new Batman movie directed by Matt Reeves. Overall, the visuals were very powerful with scenes that used negative shapes with the smoke scenes, my favourite was a scene the lights in the building all were turned off. Then all of a sudden the bullets that we’re shot we’re used to lights the scene, they bounced off each of the corners and somehow it all worked out really well. Some of the techniques used in the directing of the film reminded me some of the show reel examples we had seen in the lessons. Especially as the music was very coherent to the actions taking place.
